03~ Go Bananas – Banana, Oatmeal, Yogurt Scrub
This banana, oatmeal, and yogurt scrub is perfect for adding vitamins C and A topically to your skin. Bananas are thought to possibly boost collagen production in the body.
But, do not use if you are allergic to bananas!!!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon quick oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon yogurt
- 1/4 fresh banana
- 4 drops of fresh lemon juice
Mash 1/4 of a fresh banana. (maybe eat the rest, if you like, while you are making your facial scrub.) Combine the yogurt and quick oatmeal with the mashed banana. Mix well and then add the sugar.
Apply the scrub with a gentle circular motion for about 30-60 seconds or until the sugar has dissolved. Once the sugar is dissolved, set your timer for leave for 10 minutes. You will feel a cooling freshness on your face.
Relax and then rinse your skin with fresh, lukewarm water and pat dry. Moisturize. And, apply sunscreen.

04~ Keep Calm & Aloe On – Aloe Vera Scrub
Aloe Vera is popular for its many useful properties, including skincare. The plant has calming, soothing, healing, and moisturizing properties. This mask works best for exfoliation and is suitable for all skin types.
The olive oil will help moisturize while the brown sugar crystals will help exfoliate the skin. Always be gentle with your skin!
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoon Aloe Vera gel
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl or container. Carefully apply to your face with a circular motion. Very gently continue massaging the scrub on your skin.
Continue for 30 to 60 seconds. Do not over massage your skin.
The sugar crystals will start to dissolve. Leave the scrub on your face for 5 to 10 minutes.
Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. Continue with a nice moisturizer and then sunscreen if you are going outdoors. Use once weekly.

05~ The Ultimate Caffeine Fix – Coffee Scrub
Coffee can wake you up in more than one way and give your skin a quick boost with this simple scrub and mask.
This recipe has various benefits for your skin, including exfoliating and brightening properties. The coffee grounds exfoliate while the yogurt seems to add a touch of brightening to your skin.
Be careful as the coffee grounds are pretty scritchy-scratchy so be very gentle when massaging your face. The honey acts as a thickener and moisturizer.
Ingredient:
- 1 teaspoon finely ground coffee (adjust amount if you want more exfoliation)
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
- 1 teaspoon of honey
Combine all ingredients. Gently massage the mixture on your skin using a circular motion for approximately one minute. Be very gentle so as not to scratch your skin. This is probably the funniest looking scrub as the coffee ground really showed up on my face! It made me laugh☺
Next, leave your coffee scrub on skin for approximately 8 to 10 minutes. This one is best to rinse off in the shower due to the texture of the coffee grounds.
Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. I recommend a toner like Witch Hazel. This helps to remove any residue from the scrub. Use the coffee scrub once weekly.
Always apply a separate moisturizer and sunscreen afterwards for best results.
