Best Everything Cookie Recipe
Are you looking for a great cookie recipe?
Try this Best Everything Cookie Recipe! It has all the favorite ingredients, making it a hit for everyone. I call them Wyoming 10-Cup Cookies, but you can name them whatever you like!
One Cup of Everything:
These cookies are effortless to make, and the recipe is simple to remember! You only need ONE cup of flour.
It might seem odd to use just one cup of flour along with one cup of shortening and one cup of nut butter, but it works well!
Just remember to bake a test cookie first to see if you need a little more flour. This can change based on the humidity in your kitchen!
It’s really just one cup of everything! This post will be short but helpful. You won’t even need to check a recipe card!
A quick note: each batch of cookies might look different based on the ingredients you use. Different nut butters and sugars can change how your cookies appear.

Ingredient List:
To Begin: get your cookie bowl and wooden spoon or your Kitchen Aide Mixer.
Next, you will need a one-cup measuring cup.
Add one cup of each of the following ingredients. You can add or remove anything that doesn’t work for you.
Note: I provided several options for some ingredients, but only use one cup for each of the 10 ingredients!
- Shortening: Use one cup of either butter, coconut oil, Red Palm Shortening or another type of shortening.
- Nut Butter: Choose either peanut butter, almond butter, Cashew Butter
- Brown Sugar: Pick either Coconut Sugar , brown sugar, or a similar brown sweetener.
- Raw Sugar: Use cane sugar, white sugar, or a light-colored sweetener.
- Eggs: Use 2 farm-fresh eggs.
- Flour: I use 1/2 cup of unbleached flour and 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour.
- Oats: Use rolled oats, regular rolled oats, or quick oatmeal.
- Raisins: Add raisins.
- Chips: Choose chocolate chips or carob chips. I prefer semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips since milk chocolate is too sweet for me, but you can choose what you like.
- Coconut: Use coconut shreds, flakes, or small coconut chips.
- Nuts: Choose walnuts, pecans, peanuts cashews or any nuts you have. I like using NOW Foods nuts and seeds.
- Vanilla Extract: Add 2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
- Baking Soda: Use 2 teaspoons of baking soda.
- Baking Powder: Add 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
- Salt: Do not add salt.
Learn More About Einkorn Flour
Instructions:
Cream: the shortening, nut butter, brown-type sugar, white-type sugar, and eggs until fluffy.
Add everything else in at once and mix until combined. Cookie dough will seem sticky. Do not be fooled into adding too much flour, as they will be dry. (Bake a test cookie first!)
NOTE: This is a very important step… please do a couple of test cookies prior to baking an entire sheet.
We live at 7000 ft, so baking needs to be adjusted on a regular basis. I always need to add a little more flour for all my baking. This is the standard recipe, but adjust according to your elevation.
Drop cookie dough on an ungreased cookie sheet
Use a teaspoonful for normal size cookies, tablespoonful for large cookies and ice cream scoop full for monster size cookies on cookie sheet
Bake: 350° for approximately 6 for teaspoon size, 7 minutes for tablespoon and 8 for larger monster. Adjust baking time according to size of desired cookies!
Cool: on cookie sheet before removing (this is very important; if you try to remove the cookies too early, they will break!)
