Take this small clump of lavender & white pansies… They are an example of a self-starter. They are growing between a rock chimney and a concrete walkway; not capable of moving, they are blooming right where they are!
Bloom Where You Are Planted

They are growing their roots between the chimney and concrete walkway, making the most of their surroundings.
Not only are they surviving, but they are thriving. These pansies enjoy the warm sun and pleasant environment. The saying “bloom where you’re planted” is believed to have originated long ago.
Saint Francis de Sales (1567-1622), Bishop of Geneva, is credited with this saying: bloom where you are planted.
The idea behind this saying comes from the Bible, though it is not a direct quote. There isn’t a specific Bible verse that says “bloom where you are planted,” but many scriptures convey similar ideas that are biblical.
