SUMMARY: There are a wide variety of types of mint. Peppermint and spearmint are main ingredients in herb teas. Mint may offer medicinal qualities. Use fresh or dried.
Mint is often taken to soothe stomach upsets or calm indigestion. It is added in a wide variety of herbal tea combinations.
It is best grown in a controlled environment as it has a tendency to run wild and is considered an invasive species due to its hardy nature.
It propagates underground and will send up new growth in all directions.
Just be very careful of planting any type of mint in your vegetable, herb, or flower garden, as it will divide and conquer everything else…but mint does have its redeeming qualities of being super hardy and very pleasant tasting.
