To begin, you will need to gather:
- loose Black Tea Leaves……I love Davidson’s Organic Tulsi Tea as it is both organic and economical
- Sweetener of choice…..Organic Cane Sugar, Coconut Sugar, Honey, Stevia, or Brown Rice Syrup, Maple Syrup.
- Milk of choice…Dairy Cow or Goat Milk, Almond Milk, Soy, Rice or Coconut Milk
First Step:
Bring 1 quart of fresh, clean water to a boil. Place 6 tablespoons of Tulsi Loose Leaf Tea in a quart measuring cup that is heat-proof because you will be pouring the boiling water over the tea leaves.
So, pour one quart of freshly boiled water over the tea leaves and allow to steep until cooled. Strain the tea and tea leaves through a fine-mesh strainer into a half-gallon jar. Add one more quart of fresh freshwater to the tea concentrate and chill. Your Tulsi Tea is now ready to be made into the Chai Cooler. {Or, if you prefer…simply drink an iced Tulsi tea. Pour over fresh ice cubes and enjoy!}
Next Step:
To Make 2 Servings:
- To make a pint of Tulsi Chai Calming Cooler:
- Add two cups of chilled Tulsi Tea to your glasses or pint jars.
- Next, add one to two teaspoons of the sweetener of your choice.
- Finally, add two cups of the milk of your choice and stir!
- Top it off with ice cubes, garnish, and a straw.
- Enjoy!
To Make 8 Servings:
- Add 8 cups of brewed and cooled Tulsi tea.
- Stir in 1/3 cup to 1/2 cup of sweetener and dissolve.
- Add 8 cups of milk of choice and stir.
- Pour over ice in 8-pint glasses or Mason jars.
- Top it off with ice cubes, garnish, and a straw.
