Easy Omega-Rich Homemade Dog Treat Recipe Your Dog Will Love!
Making things from scratch is satisfying, and that includes dog treats! Homemade dog biscuits are a snap to make and such a healthy treat for your pet!

With living a more natural lifestyle, it only makes sense to include the family pets with healthy treats!

Omega Rich Homemade Dog Treats
They are very economical to make and so much fresher than store-bought treats.
First of all, I try to use all-natural and organic whole foods in these treats. In addition to being made with whole foods, these doggie biscuits are super fresh.
This recipe includes the necessary omega fatty acids that are so good for dogs. Seeds are wonderful for your dog, but nuts are not, so I do not include any nuts in my Doggie Biscuits.
Double-check with your vet if you are unsure about any of the seeds included in this recipe.

First of all, gather your ingredients for your Homemade Doggie Biscuits:
- 1/2 cup Bacon Drippings or 1/2 cup Coconut Oil Nutiva Refined Coconut Oil – Gallon
- 1/4 cup Peanut Butter or Pumpkin Puree
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups Einkorn Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup of water, if necessary (to prevent dough from being too crumbly)
One tablespoon of each of the following:
- Chia Seeds
- Hemp Seeds Manitoba Harvest: Hemp Hearts 28 Oz.
- Sesame Seeds

Homemade Doggie Biscuits
These are the best doggie biscuits. Our puppies never seems to tire of them!!!! Full of rich omega fats for healthy dog treats!!!!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Bacon Drippings or 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup Peanut butter or Pumpkin Puree
- 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour [I use Einkorn Flour]
- 1 tablespoons Chia Seeds
- 1 tablespoons Hemp Seeds
- 1 tablespoons Sesame Seeds
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup of water to prevent dough from being crumbly
Instructions
- First, melt bacon drippings or coconut oil.
- Combine all other ingredients in bowl. Mix well.
- Next, cut with little doggie bone cutters or any other small cookie cutter.
- If you do not have doggie bone cookie cutters, no problem! Just roll a small piece of dough about one inch long.
- Make 4 small balls of dough a little smaller than a marble.
- Place 2 small balls of dough on each end of the roll.
- They will now bake together to make a homemade looking doggie biscuits and your dog you will love you!
- Carefully place on cookie sheet, prick with a fork and bake for 20 minutes @350 degrees.
- Make sure your homemade doggie biscuits are slightly browned on the bottom. Cool and store in glass jar in the refrigerator.

DIRECTIONS:
First, melt the bacon drippings or coconut oil. In a bowl, mix all the other ingredients well.
Then, roll out the dough to just under 1/2″ thick on a floured surface.
Next, cut with a little doggie biscuit cookie cutter or any other small cookie cutter.
No dog bone cookie cutters? No problem! Roll a small piece of dough about one inch long and make four small balls of dough, smaller than marbles.
Place two balls on each end of the roll. They will bake together into a tasty dog biscuit!
Put the biscuits on a cookie sheet, poke them with a fork, and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
Make sure the bottoms are slightly browned. Let them cool and store them in a glass jar in the fridge.
