Homemade Mouthwash Recipe || DIY Brushing Rinse {to Brighten Your Smile!}

Homemade Mouthwash Recipe
This recipe contains essential oils that work in conjunction with diluted hydrogen peroxide in helping to reduce germs and bacteria that can cause tooth decay and gum irritation.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cups distilled water
- 1/2 cup food-grade hydrogen peroxide
- 1 TB 30ppm Colloidal Silver
- 10+/- drops Peppermint essential oil
This mouthwash contains approximately a 0.03% solution of essential oils. The generally safe standard for essential oils is 2%. This mouthwash is not to be swallowed.
Please adjust the number of drops of Peppermint Oil to your taste.

Instructions:
- Take a sterilized glass jar or glass swing-cap bottle.
- Add peppermint essential oils.
- Add the distilled water and food-grade hydrogen peroxide slowly. Be careful, as you may notice some foaming action.
- Cap the bottle or jar and gently tip it back and forth to mix. Do not shake.

Notes:

Take care to make sure everything is sterilized. If you skip this step, the peroxide may keep bubbling as it is killing germs, so make sure your utensils and the glass jar or bottle are very clean.
Important: If you are using a glass jar or bottle for storage and if the hydrogen peroxide (which is H₂O₂) continues to bubble, DO NOT screw on the lid tightly. Let the peroxide stop bubbling before tightening the lid.
Suggested Use for this Homemade Mouthwash Recipe:
To make the most of this DIY Brushing Rinse and to avoid unwanted side effects, use the homemade mouthwash in the following manner:
- Rinse once a day—morning or night— after brushing your teeth.
- Gargle with the solution.
- Slowly swish the brushing rinse in your mouth for up to one minute.
- Spit the solution out (DO NOT swallow).
- Don’t forget to brush your tongue afterward for a super clean mouth.
- You may rinse your mouth with fresh water if desired.
- Do not use with children under the age of 10, and always provide supervision with any type of mouthwash.
