If you buy juice, then try to get the OCEAN SPRAY 100% Fruit Juice.
The dollar store has a bunch of different kinds of fruit juice blends, cocktail blends with added sugar and Koolaid-type juices. But they are not 100% juice.
I rarely buy juice but when I do, I try to get the 100% juice kind.
There are several different kinds of 100% juice available. This is just one more better buy for less.

Mott’s 100% Apple Juice is another great option from the dollar store. Like I mentioned above, I do not buy juice very often, but when I do, it is great to have the option of finding 100% Apple Juice for less!

HOMEMADE DETERGENT POWDER
Healthy Products for Less at Dollar Store
4 lbs. 12 oz. box Mule Team Borax
4 lbs. box Baking Soda
4 lbs. Washing Soda
1 container of Oxi-Clean either the brand name or store brand will work
3 bars of pure castile soap, grated (mild castile-type soap that has no fragrance, or Tea Tree Oil Soap for its antibacterial properties -OR- Fels Naptha Soap)
Directions:
- Grate the 3 bars of soap, or chop it and put it in a high-speed blender to make a powder. Be careful not to breath this soap dust while grating
- Add the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Place powdered detergent in a 2 gallon container.
- Use 1 Tbsp. For small or delicate loads and 2 Tbsp. for large loads.
Tips:
- 1/2 cup of Hydrogen Peroxide can be added to the wash to help with bad stains (make a paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda to treat stains before washing).
- Distilled White Vinegar helps brighten whites, removes odors used in place of fabric softener.

Ingredients
- 4 lbs. 12 oz. box Mule Team Borax
- 4 lbs. Box Baking Soda
- 4 lbs. Washing Soda
- 1 container of Oxi-Clean (either the brand name or store brand will work)
- 3 bars of pure castille soap grated (mild castille soap that has no fragrance, or Tea Tree Oil Soap for its antibacterial properties -OR- Fels Naptha Soap
Instructions

Grate the 3 bars of soap, or chop it and put it in a high-speed blender to make a powder. Be careful not to breath this soap dust while grating.

Add the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix throughly. I usually do this step outside as the soap, borax, baking soda and washing soda dust is fine and gets on everything. Mix in a large bowl outside on porch or picnic table.

Place powdered detergent in a large container.

Use approximately 2 Tbsp. For small or delicate loads and 4 Tbsp. for large loads.
Recipe Notes
1/2 cup of Hydrogen Peroxide can be added to the wash to help with bad stains (make a paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda to treat stains before washing). Always to try a small test area first for color fastness.
Distilled White Vinegar helps brighten whites, removes odors, and can be used in place of fabric softener. This is added during the rinse cycle.

Natural White Vinegar for cleaning and also for weed control. Vinegar is an all natural weed killer that is environmentally safe.
As always, you will caution as vinegar is a non-selective herbicide which means it will kill all plants not just weeds. So, make sure to use with care.
